The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Tuesday clarified that Telenor is not shutting down services in Pakistan. The statement was issued in response to a news circulating on social media regarding Telenor shutting down operations in the country.

However, the PTA confirmed that Telenor was shutting down services in Pakistan and the regulator had received no such request from the telecom operator regarding termination of services in the country.
