Global search engine company, Google, on Wednesday, December 8, released a compilation of top searches by Kenyans in 2021.
The list classified the top searches into general, searches on loss, local and global personalities, health related searches, sports, lyrics to favorite songs, and Search Engine Optimization (how-to) articles.
Some of the names and topics that made it to the top of the list include Mukhisa Kituyi, the late business mogul Chris Kirubi, Bobi Wine, the ruling on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Pandora Papers, how to open a PDF file and what is love.
The top 10 searches in 2021 include the English Premier League Table, the Uganda Elections, Kiambaa by-election results, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and Kazi Mtaani Application which made to the top five.Kenyans.co.keSearches on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) ruling, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment 2021, Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) booking, Pandora Papers and Afghanistan rounded up the top ten
Mukhisa Kituyi, Retired President, Mwai Kibaki, Chief Justice, Martha Koome, Eliud Kipchoge, Deputy President, William Ruto, Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, former Attorney General, Charles Njonjo, Dagoretti North Member of Parliament (MP) Simba Arati, sprint sensation, Ferdinand Omanyala and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria were the most searched Kenyan personalities.
