BookMe, a Pakistan-based travel and ticketing platform, has closed a US$7.5 million series A funding round co-led by Zayn Capital, seed investor Lakson VC, and Dubai-based Hayaat Global.
The startup will be using the funding to widen its local footprint across Pakistan as well as venture into similar global markets like Myanmar.
“Moreover, we also plan to expand our logistics vertical into 27 more cities across Pakistan,” a company spokesperson told Tech in Asia.
Founded in 2014, BookMe claims to be the first completely cashless platform in Pakistan. It has partnered with several mobile wallet platforms in the country to offer buy now, pay later services, leveraging the historical data and spending patterns of over 6 million customers.
