Vésale Bioscience, a biotech company specializing in phage therapy, particularly in the search for alternative solutions to antibiotics and the development of treatments for multi-resistant infections, today announces that it has been awarded the prize for the life sciences start-up la most innovative in Europe, during the 10th edition of BioFIT, which was held from December 7 to 9, 2021, in digital format.
BioFIT is the leading event in Europe in terms of technology transfer, academia-industry collaborations and early-stage innovations in the field of life sciences. It is also the European marketplace for investment in seed capital and venture capital in life sciences. This year, 92 early-stage project files were submitted across all categories. The selection committee selected 47 projects which were able to pitch in front of a jury of experts. In their evaluation process, the members of the jury mainly take into account the impact of the innovation developed and the capacity of implementation of the supporting structure of the project.
This award confirms the importance of phage therapy and the contribution of Vésale Bioscience’s technology in the fight against multi-resistant infections.
