1 —Google Search Console geotargeting can hurt search rankings.

According to a recent discussion as part of the Google Search Central SEO office hours last month, using Google Search Console’s geotargeting feature can hurt search rankings if you’re attempting to get to a bigger audience. By having your site’s international targeting setting set up for a specific country or location, it can become hyper focused on that country and less focused on others, limiting the way your site ranks in other countries. If your desire is to target a wider audience, it is advised to turn off the geotargeting in the Search Console.

2 — Ford launched a charging software to help small businesses electrify their fleets.

Ford recently announced that it will be launching charging hardware and software to help businesses make the change to electric vehicles in the future. Ford Pro Charging was introduced to help simplify the change from traditional internal combustion-powered fleets to electric vehicles, which help minimize costs and emissions. There are currently 125,000 customers for Ford’s fleet in the U.S. and the auto giant anticipates that the yearly sales of its commercial electric vans and trucks will surpass 300,000 units in the next 8 years.
