Submarine Cable Fault Disrupts Internet Services In Pakistan - Independent News Coverage Pakistan

A fault in the international submarine cable SMW4 has lead to slow internet services in Pakistan.
According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the total bandwidth in the country has gone down by 20 percent, however, arrangements are being made to add more capacity to other submarine cables to minimize the impact on internet services in Pakistan.
However, the issue of slow internet services in Pakistan will persist until the submarine cable fault is rectified completely and the repair could take hours, days, or weeks before it is fully restored.
