Pallanwala (Jammu), Feb 25 (UNI) In the aftermath of terrorists and Pakistan Army across the Line of Control and International Border using left out US made weapons recovered in the Afghanistan, the Army official on Friday said that the Indian soldiers are laced with hi-tech weaponry to counter new challenges along the borders in Jammu and Kashmir. The Army has also sounded alert to deal with the new challenge from across the border. The terrorists and Pakistan Army on the other side of the Line of Control and International Border are handling the US made rifles which were left by the US Army in Afghanistan after Taliban took over the command. “To counter the terrorists from infiltrating, the troops have been equipped with hi-tech and modern gadgets and weapons along the borders,” said an official and added that the troops are also being trained of handling these weapons using blindfolds. “Sako TRG Sniper Rifle made in Finland, Negev LMG made in Israel and Sig Rifle made in America are among few modern gadgets being used by troops to counter any nefarious design initiated from across the border,” he said. The soldiers are being well equipped and trained of using the modern weapons in adverse weather and inhospitable conditions of Jammu and Kashmir, the official added.
