Our hosts start the episode off with some discussion regarding IntelyCare’s recent funding. Although, Jeff questions why they describe themselves as a gig site when they are a staffing firm? Steven used the site from the candidate perspective and confirmed that there was not a job board or marketplace on the site. Our hosts come to the consensus that despite IntelyCare’s use of trendy buzzwords, they are a staffing firm and not a job board website.
Mike Corso chimes in by sharing how he got into the recruiting side of the business. Originally, his website was an online magazine geared towards adults with disabilities. After receiving an influx of emails from users asking for help to find work, Mike revamped the site into a job board. The site had very little traction in the beginning, but after receiving a grant, Mike was able to turn the website into a full fledged job board.
