Colony Pumpkin Patch in North Liberty honored by Google - Corridor Business

Colony Pumpkin Patch — a North Liberty-based multi-generation, urban farm that provides seasonal and family-oriented experiences — has been invited to attend a Google Business Meetup in Washington D.C. from May 4-6.

Founders Katie and Dean Colony will get to meet with other business owners, founders and creators from across the country, as well as join professional development workshops and discussions, according to a press release.

Colony Pumpkin Patch was featured in Google’s 2018 Economic Impact Report. Only one business per state is highlighted in these reports.

The business was showcased again last year to show lawmakers and lobbyists the number of organizations that “depend on low or no cost internet based solutions” to grow business.

“We are honored to once again be guests of the Grow with Google meetup to represent not only Iowa, but also small businesses around the county,” said Katie Colony in a statement. “The tools, resources and education that Google provides back to our business is invaluable to our growth, and being able to share what we gain from it with other small businesses helps to strengthen what is the heartbeat of the American economy, and ultimately the American dream!”
