Google Delegation Arrives in Pakistan - Independent News Coverage Pakistan

The delegation of the California-based tech giant, Google, has arrived in Pakistan to hold talks with the Minister for IT and Telecom, Syed Amin-ul-Haque as well as the Federal Law Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regarding the company setting up its operations in Pakistan.
According to the details, the IT and Telecom Minister, Amin-ul-Haque, is confident that they will convince the visiting delegation to open Google’s office in Pakistan.
He believes that companies like Google, Facebook, and other social media platforms earn huge revenue from Pakistan and they should open their offices in the country, which is going to help them in understanding Pakistan’s culture, traditions and religious beliefs.
The IT and Telecom Minister added that if Google and other tech or social media companies set up their offices in the country, we could refer to these offices in case of any dispute and discuss the matter.
It is pertinent to mention that Google has recently registered itself as a company in Pakistan with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
It is pertinent to mention that Google has already launched Career Certificates to offer flexible learning paths for Pakistani youth and enable them to develop their knowledge and acquire digital skills for in-demand jobs.
