Pakistan-based, early-stage VC firm sAi Venture Capital has announced a partnership with the American investment firm Plutus21 Capital targeting investment opportunities in Pakistan’s technology space.
The two will evaluate, and invest in, technology-focused companies in Pakistan. “There will be an exchange of technology-related knowledge from both markets [the US and Pakistan] to add world-class organisations to our respective portfolios,” Ahsan Jamil, Managing Partner, sAi Venture Capital told DealStreetAsia.
The startup plans to use the funds to expand its product and service offerings to customers.
Several prominent startups in Pakistan shut shop as the funding tap dried up in 2022. Case in point: Airlift.
It has raised $1m in a pre-seed round from friends and family.
The US-based VC firm will bring investor education programmes to the country.
