Digital marketing agency Croud has appointed former Google Analytics exec Avinash Kaushik as Chief Strategy Officer.
Founded in 2011, Croud provides marketing strategy and consultancy alongside SEO, PPC, content, programmatic, paid social, creative and analytics services. Kaushik (pictured) joins after a sixteen-year career at Google, where he was part of the team that launched Google Analytics, and he built a consulting practice for Google's largest customers. Earlier he was Web Research and Analytics Director at financial software company Intuit, and a Senior Business Analyst at Silicon Graphics. Additionally, Kaushik is the author of Web Analytics 2.0 and Web Analytics: An Hour A Day, as well as a weekly newsletter with 55,000 subscribers.
In his new role, Kaushik's responsibilities will span strategy, product, and data, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Commenting on the appointment, co-founder and CEO Luke Smith said: 'Many are going into 2023 with uncertainty, but we go in with absolute conviction and ambition for what we can achieve for our clients. Avinash has already shown how he'll bolster that, helping advance Croud's capabilities of course, but most importantly, helping our clients achieve their goals over the next few years'.
