I believe that the "chat experience" will convert many people to searching on Bing going to Bing when they want information.

It is not "searching" any more. Their chat is instantly answering your question.

The problem Bing has right now is acquiring traffic. If they can acquire an enormous amount of traffic they will gain an enormous number of new users. Most of them will have a great experience and return.

Bing must acquire that traffic NOW. Before others - such as Google have their own "instant answer" service.

Webmasters who's content Bing used to train their chat are screwed.
