Cleverly to discuss Ukraine war on China visit
Foreign secretary James Cleverly has said he will raise the issue of the Ukraine war on his visit to China on Wednesday.
Mr Cleverly said he will argue that with China's global significance comes a responsibility on international security - including helping to end Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
The trip is part of efforts to ease tensions between the West and Beijing.
He will hold talks with China's foreign affairs minister Wang Yi and vice president Han Zheng.
