The La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth will host the Cinco de Mayo Festival for its sixth consecutive year on Sunday, May 1, 2011 starting at 2:00pm. The La Gran Plaza invites everyone to become a part of this cultural event.
The Cinco de Mayo Festival will be filled with family-friendly entertainment including live music from Sonora Reventón, Gigi and the Remolino Show, Erupción Hidalguense, Banda Las Palmas de Durango and the La Gran Plaza’s Mariachi Band, Mariachi Mexicanisimo. La Gran Plaza is happy to announce this free entertainment in Forth Worth community.
Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican commemorative festival that is celebrated among the Mexican communities in Mexico and North America marking the Mexican defeat of French troops at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. This event is free and open to the public.
