nexMatrix Telecom, LLC., a global provider of world class telecommunications solutions, announced today its Protel PBX SOHO Model for home and small offices. The system comes equipped with 10 extensions, but can expand to 20. The new PBX enables small business owners to leverage a low-cost Premise Based Exchange. The new unit measures only 4 ½ x 4 ½ x ¾ inches and may be wall mounted with an MSRP of under $750.

“During these difficult economic times, many small businesses are looking for ways to reduce communications costs while increasing functionality and lowering their Total Cost of Ownership”, said Dianne Ursini, nexMatrix Telecom, CEO. “Our VARS demanded a lower cost PBX solution that would provide the same functions as our other Protel PBX models with additional functionality such as an ACD for the Small Office Home Office environment.“

Many smaller home based and small office based companies have their employees off-site and may connect via a SIP or SCCP telephone anywhere an internet connection is available. The Protel PBX's unique applications also provide a high degree of flexibility on inbound call delivery as well as control of the day/night mode from the receptionist. Calls may be answered by a receptionist or routed through a single or multiple call attendants. There is no limit on the number of telephone numbers and call attendants a company can provision.

NexMatrix Telecom's Protel PBX SOHO model gives small businesses the features and functionality of telephone systems that were previously only affordable by large corporations. It's a sophisticated call system suitable for an ordinary office, a virtual office, several offices in several locations and even the home. A full PBX suite of features including - Call onferencing, Call Transfer, Voice Mail, Music on Hold, Call Waiting, Call ID, ACD, Three Way Calling and free calling between offices and homes.

The Protel PBX SOHO model has features that are only supported by high end systems. The integrated conference bridge allows large conference calls with up to 20 callers at once. The system allows both analog lines and SIP trunks to be integrated along with standard SIP telephones including Polycom and Grandstream. Cisco SCCP phones may be used with an additional option.
