Having no Employee Handbook is playing with Fire

Would you let an employee take an action that could mean you subject to a lawsuit? Would you take the risk could put you on the brink of bankruptcy?

In our litigious society a business owner does certain thinks to protect his business interests. This could be as something small and simple like locking the front door, putting cash into a safe, setting the alarm, or carrying insurance. But many employers put themselves at risk everyday by not having new hires and existing employers read an Employee Handbook of workplace policies and sign a form acknowledging those actions thereof.
