Social Media Buzz: Karrueche, C.KHiD, India & Crystal Westbrooks, & Casper Smart

As trends rise and fall on social media daily, there's a new group emerging as of late amongst US & UK teens. If you have ever browse Tumblr or YouTube, it is likely you have seen them. The new 'social media darlings' of sorts, Karrueche Tran, C.KHiD, the Westbrooks girls, & Casper 'Lopez' Smart are becoming web 2.0 giants.

Who are these people?

Karrueche and Casper need less of an introduction to most. Mainstream media has picked up on them because of high-profile relationships. Karrueche Tran dates Chris Brown. Casper Smart is dating future billionaire, Jennifer Lopez.

However, what the mainstream media has not picked up on, the fondness that Urban and Pop culture teens have built for the duo. Not only 'Kae Tran' and Casper', but also some other names.

Rap artist C.KHiD went from barely known to over 21 Million YouTube views in the last year. Spread between a plethora of content, viral music videos "Yeah Yeah" and "Wonderful girl" received over 5 Million views by themselves. The Youtuber's latest music videos, "Summer Summa" and "It is What It is" are rising rapidly to 1 million views each.

California's "Westbrooks Girls" aka Team Westbrooks, excel even further potentially. The two sisters India and Crystal's photos, get re-blogged by tens of thousands each month. A solid fan-base for India Westbrooks has been discovered in the UK and Crystal's building rapidly.

Crystal Westbrooks, who rarely tweets, seeming to be a Cali Hipster, still has 5,000 followers. Fans constantly check her twitter profile for updates.

As the social networks grow, so will these 'web 2.0 stars' and their fan bases. One can only question will some of these names be the 2013 Hollywood cast.
