The Arvada Young Professionals (@ArvadaYP) and the Two Ponds Preservation Foundation unveiled the project drawing for the Schoolhouse at Two Ponds at a recent event held at Rolling Hills Country Club. The groups are raising funds to build the environmental education center at the Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge by the end of 2013.

The Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge, located off of 80th Ave. and Club Crest Dr. in Arvada, Colo., became part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services’ (@USFWSHQ) national refuge system in 1992. The project rendering is the first stage of development and construction for the structure, which will provide indoor facilities for visitors and allow year-round access for area schools’ field trips.

“We were thrilled to see the initial project drawing of the Schoolhouse,” said Roger Johnson, Two Ponds Preservation Foundation board member and president of Personal Benefit Services Wealth Management. “The rendering provides a visual sense of what the Schoolhouse will look like, and it is great to see the first stage of the construction process completed.”
