Over the past couple of weeks some of the world’s most prominent actors, actresses, musicians, and sports teams, along with many other new charitable Hurricane Sandy Relief venues, have come together to host a vast number of events to generate additional relief funds for victims of the Super storm.

As Hurricane Sandy left a path of devastation nearly eight months ago, thousands upon thousands of people that reside in NYC and outlying areas are still feeling the negative effects of this Super storm. Over these past eight months there have been numerous relief efforts, donations, and charitable events that have been used to help those still struggling with Hurricane Sandy cleanup, repair, and rebuilding processes. Some of the more recent charitable events to be held are as follows:

- Mariah Carey is set to perform at the 2013 MLB Charity concert on July 13th at 7:30 PM. In return MLB will donate $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts.
- Billy Crystal donates $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts. The Crystal family personally donated $112,000 along with the $888,000 to make a final donation amount of $1 million dollars to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts.
Other Hurricane Sandy Relief Events coming up-
- Lobster Roll Eating Event- Like’s Lobster in culmination with other big players in the lobster industries have recently announced their Hurricane Sandy Relief initiative by setting up lobster roll stands at different locations throughout NYC on different dates in June. The proceeds from the sale of lobster rolls will be donated to the Mayors Fund to Advance New York City and to the New Jersey Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
- Fresco Montclair , a prominent restaurant in NYC, recently held a Hurricane Sandy Relief Dinner, of which, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts.

With all of the donations and funding coming in from numerous sources, along with all of the volunteers, federal assistance programs, local and state emergency services, non profits, and business owners contributing to the rebuilding and revitalizing of New York City Post Sandy, why are there still so many in need of assistance? There are still thousands of people displaced or homeless, have major repairs to contend with, along with the toxic mold crisis that is currently flourishing all over New York City and surrounding areas.

There are literally hundreds of different programs available for victims of Hurricane Sandy to seek out for assistance in their most trying times. One of the more important programs that was created to help stop the mold epidemic that is currently plaguing New York City is the Hurricane Sandy Mold Relief Fund, created by a reputable NYC mold removal company, Five Boro Mold Specialist.

In a world where most people believe that there is no one left on this planet with a heart, the amount of effort and donations contributed to Hurricane Sandy Relief proves that there is still hope for humanity yet.
