Next year will mark a century since John and Horace Dodge became the first to mass produce all-steel-bodied cars in America, and to commemorate the occasion the Dodge brand will offer limited editions of its two most celebrated muscle cars. Slated to arrive at dealerships in the first quarter of 2014, the 2014 Dodge Challenger and Charger 100th Anniversary Editions will sport unique style touches, anniversary badges and advanced technology.

Both the Challenger and Charger 100th Anniversary Editions will be available with an exclusive High Octane red pearl paintjob, and the models will be further distinguished by new 20-inch aluminum wheels, "Dodge Est. 1914" front-fender badges and Dodge "100" logos on the wheel caps. Inside, buyers can choose either Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa leather seats, while die-cast "Dodge Est. 1914" circular badges adorn the front seatbacks and embroidered anniversary logos liven up the floor mats. Style isn't the only amped up aspect of the 100th Anniversary Editions, as Charger models receive a Beats by Dr. Dre audio system and Challenger models get a stereo from Boston Acoustics.

"The Challenger and Charger 100th Anniversary Editions will give muscle-car enthusiasts a chance to completely stand out on the road while paying homage to Dodge's storied past," said Tim Parker, dealer principal of Tim Parker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, an Arkansas Dodge dealer. "At the same time, they'll enjoy all the latest advancements from the automaker, whether it's the powerful-yet-efficient 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine or the performance-tuned suspension."

No matter which 2014 Dodge Challenger model buyers choose, Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com predicts they'll get more money back when they trade in the car down the road. The 2014 Challenger recently ranked in the top 10 of all vehicles for retaining a higher percentage of its original value during the first five years of ownership, earning a 2014 Best Resale Value Award from the auto-research site. More drivers are taking advantage of that long-term value in 2013, with sales of the Challenger up by 26 percent year-over-year through October.
