Empowering Family Connections, a licensed counseling practice serving individuals and families, announced today that it officially has opened its Frisco Texas location. The practice's new location is: 1701 Legacy Drive, Suite 1425 Frisco, TX 75034.

Feda Shawwa, the practice's licensed counselor, said, "I wanted to offer my experience in helping adults and children with their current challenges. With the recent growth in Collin County, Empowering Family Connections believed that a Frisco location could benefit those wanting help in Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Little Elm and The Colony."

According to Shawwa, "a collaborative strengths-based approach helps clients work through difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, and self-worth, improve relationships and navigate life transitions, such as grieving the loss of a loved one, adjusting to new children, adolescence, divorce and remarriage and merging step-families. Premarital and relationships counseling can help couples improve relationships, improve communication, work through past hurts and betrayal, navigate life transitions, and renew your commitment to each other."

She further indicated that her focus is on helping people develop more satisfying personal and work relationships, discover and change self-defeating patterns, and increase ability to handle difficult situations. Additional aims are to help people with increasing coping strategies, interpersonal skills, self-awareness and self-acceptance by a blend of evidence based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and interpersonal, and mindfulness acceptance therapies.

Interested parties may contact the practice through its website or contact information found with this release.
