Dispelling the myth that there is too little technical talent in Florida, BarCamp Tampa Bay will be hosting 800-900 of the region's developers, designers, freelancers and start-up founders at its 7th annual event on October 18th at the USF College of Business. As they have in the past, tech businesses and local economic development groups rally to support this great event keeping it free for participants to attend.

“We are happy to support this amazing group of talented people here in Tampa Bay,’ said Jan Broadwater of Forex Factory. “It’s an important part of growing and sustaining a vibrant tech ecosystem.” Forex Factory joins more than 20 other companies in their support and leadership of BarCamp Tampa Bay including:

  • MyMatrix
  • Pilgrim Quality Solutions
  • Vology
  • applied G2
  • TAFFIE
  • Black and Denim
  • Haneke Design
  • Source Toad
  • TiE Tamp Bay
  • Florida High Tech Corridor

“It is encouraging to see these and many other local companies not only sponsor but, also participate in the day’s events and continue their support throughout the year,” said Ken Evans, this year’s lead organizer for the event. “The leadership, networking and sustained support for the larger tech community benefits the entire local economy. We are happy to see these companies attending and even leading sessions. Their leadership is an important part of growing this community.”
