BarCamp Tampa Bay Ready for Exciting Lineup of Presentations

Presenters at BarCamp Tampa Bay event focus on new and emerging technologies, networking across tech and related disciplines and having fun along the way.

BarCamp Tampa Bay is ready for its usual cutting edge topic presentations on Saturday, October 18, 2014. BarCamp is for hands-on practitioners and product developers using a wide range of tools and techniques. As in past years, presentations are expected to cover such topics as User Experience Design, Wordpress, wearable technology, robotics, 3D printing, gamification, .Net, SQL, PHP, Python, and other coding languages and many other technology topics.

BarCamp speakers can also be expected to cover broader business and technical issues such as Infosec (security), how to hire a developer, website throwdowns, startup lessons learned, venture and angel funding mistakes, business coaching and other related topics. There will also be rooms hosted by Tampa Hackerspace and the Tampa Bay Inventors Council. Additionally, several teams of FIRST Robotics students will be demonstrating their robots and perhaps some quadcopters will come out to play as well.

BarCamp also announced new sponsors LinkedIn Focus and Ironyard who join the group of sponsors announced earlier. In addition, Microsoft, Google and Code School have donated prizes to be raffled off at the event.

BarCamp Tampa Bay 2014 is a Technova Florida, Inc. event and is presented at no charge to attendees. The event will take place on the main campus of the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in Tampa.
