Morocco, 03/18/2015 / SubmitMyPR /

HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, received on Monday at Casablanca's royal palace, minister of justice and liberties Mustapha Ramid, and minister of endowments and Islamic affairs Ahmed Toufiq, said a statement by the Royal Office.

Afterwards, the sovereign received Driss El Yazami, president of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH).

These audiences are part of the continuous royal interaction with concerns of the citizens and the different national stakeholders concerning current social issues, mainly the problem of illegal abortion, within the framework of Islam's teachings, the virtues of Ijtihad (independent reasoning) and the evolution of the Moroccan society and its aspirations, while respecting its unity, cohesion and specificities.

On this occasion, HM the King gave his instructions to the two ministers and the CNDH president to examine this issue, which has become a medical procedure above all else, and conduct broad consultations with all parties concerned.

HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, also ordered the two ministers and the CNDH president to coordinate and cooperate with the Higher Council for Ulema to discuss the different opinions and orientations and submit proposals to His Majesty within a month.

These audiences were attended by HM the King's advisor Fouad Ali El Himma.
