CWHBC, the Center for Women’s Health and Birthcare, proudly announces Dr. Shayla Nesbitt, the newest addition to their growing family of OB/GYN providers.  Dr. Nesbitt joins a diverse and experienced team that specializes in everything from childbirth to comprehensive gynecology.

Current providers at CWHBC also include Dr. Maxie Sprott, Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Mid Wife Vida Riston, and Dr. Marquita Anderson.  Located in Beaumont, CWHBC serves all of southeast Texas.

“Dr. Nesbitt is a perfect addition to our family at CWHBC,” states Nurse Practitioner Vida Riston.  “She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice that will allow us to continue to serve southeastern Texan women while at the same time giving us a completely unique perspective.”  Dr. Nesbitt completed her residency at Tulane University in New Orleans and is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine.  In addition to her doctorate, she also holds a Master of Public Health Degree.

“Her beliefs perfectly compliment our own,” Vida continues.  “At CWHBC we believe in a holistic approach to OB/GYN care.  We recognize that each person is a complex system of independent parts, and when one is not working, all will be affected.  And, our intention at CWHBC has always been to give you proper balance, improve your health and wellness, and better the quality of your life.  Dr. Nesbitt believes this as well and her background just widens the way we offer care to the specific needs of the women of southeast Texas.”

“It’s great to be so welcomed,” confides Dr. Nesbitt, “but it is equally enjoyable to be surrounded with such like minded professionals.  I’ve never wanted a patient to feel like they’re a number.  I believe in very personal health care and CWHBC fosters that idea.  Plus, it’s amazing to be a part of a team that can focus on women of all ages and stages and have it be all under one roof.”

“Health care is constantly changing,” continues Dr. Sprott, “but the most important thing you can do is have the absolute best team.  And, that’s what you will find at CWHBC.  We welcome high risk cases.  We offer non-invasive alternatives to surgery.  Bottom line: having the best team means we will diagnose and treat you sooner, so you can be healthier sooner.”

“Our focus is on a woman’s whole health,” states Dr. Nesbitt.  “We will treat you for what brought you into the office, but we are also concerned about a patient’s whole picture and history.  At CWHBC we will keep you healthy, and take care of you when you’re not.  Come visit us and see how everything changes when you become a part of our family at CWHBC in Beaumont Texas.”
