Fat Jack’s Supersubs recently opened its newest location at 450 Broadway, making this the sixth location for the Denver-based eatery.

“We think Broadway is one of Denver’s most interesting streets, and the new store is in an area that continues to trend upwards,” said Fat Jack’s Co-owner Kyle Fabra, who purchased the restaurant chain in 2012 his wife Brooke in 2012. “The Baker and West Washington Park neighborhoods have given us a warm welcome, and we hope both communities will consider us their favorite quick-service restaurant,” said Fabra. “We want to draw more people from the area, but already we’re seeing a fair amount of traffic.” Fabra would like to attract more customers from Denver Health Medical Center, which is a few blocks west of Fat Jack’s Broadway store.

The grand opening of the Broadway shop comes on the heels of the Fabras learning they must evacuate their LoHi location on 32nd Avenue and Tejon Street by July 11. (Earlier this month, Fabra signed a lease for that store to relocate to 3326 Tejon so it remains in the LoHi neighborhood.)

Fabra strives to connect with the communities his restaurants serve through by sponsoring existing area festivals and neighborhood-focused activities. To support the community surrounding the Broadway location, Fabra hopes to participate in local events like Mile High Music Fest and the Art Students League of Denver’s Summer Art Market. “There’s also a chance we will partner with some of the area’s retail shops and restaurants to host an ongoing music series, featuring local artists.”

The Broadway store is the second new Fat Jack’s to open within the past year. The first was the shop at 2736 Welton Street in Five Points, which launched last summer. Each of the Fat Jack’s locations employs at least 15 individuals. Check out their menu, featuring fresh ingredients and tasty bread (including gluten-free) at www.fatjackssubs.com.
