September 23, 2020 - Wausau, WI -- Wisconsin construction company Scherrer Construction recently completed the additions and renovations to The Fox Middle School in Waterford WI despite the current pandemic.
Rich Nelson safety director for Scherrer Construction Co., Inc. worked hard to ensure the safety of all staff and contractors on site during the construction project that broke ground in November 2019.
Nelson commented “We had to be certain that all staff and visitors to the site were safe, this included extensive planning to ensure that hygiene systems, personal protective equipment and social distancing was in place for all contractors, staff and visitors”
Despite the many hurdles faced by the general contractor Scherrer Construction completed the new build and refurbishment work in time for the new school year.

After 14 months of construction it was rewarding for the Wisconsin general contractor to see how exciting it was for students and staff to start the school year in new and improved spaces.

Construction work started on Sept. 6th 2019 on a renovation and expansion of Fox River Middle School in Waterford.
Once again Scherrer Construction completed the project ahead of schedule ready for the new school term in August 2020.
Scherrer Construction was the general contractor for the project and Plunkett Raysich Architects was the architect.
The school new build and renovations included a 137,000-square-foot-addition that will have a gymnasium along with music and science classrooms, a common area and office space.
Beyond that, 60,000-square-feet of the existing building were also renovated. The $24.9 million project was scheduled for completion in October 2020.
