Finding your purpose in life is often easier said than done. You can do everything by the book and still be left feeling lost. For success coach Tina Marx, finding her purpose didn’t come from reading a quick self-help guide, but rather she grew to understand it through all the challenges life threw her way. Having a father who was hard to please left her feeling alone, afraid, and insecure growing up. But even through these challenges, Tina found her purpose—and she wants to help you find yours, too.
When Tina was in her thirties, she found her passion in metaphysics and applying these changed her life. She went on to get her master’s degree in metaphysics, as well as a certification for science of mind year one and two. Through this education she learned how the thoughts we have in our minds are reflected in our physical world.
“What thoughts you keep in your mind absolutely manifest into your world,” Tina expresses.
Tina began to see a shift in her life, she started feeling less alone. During this time, there was no such thing as a life coach, but the shift in energy she was experiencing was so profound, she felt called to help others. Tina’s life experience and education in metaphysics are what make her a good life coach. She tells us the challenges in her life ingrained a lot of empathy and compassion into her, causing her to feel deeply for other people.
“That’s how I found my purpose, and it’s just kind of expanded,” Tina explains.
After writing two books, one in 2011 and another in 2015, Tina created her podcast and YouTube channel, Transparent with Tina. She felt as though everyone should have access to the information she held for free and through her podcast channel she could reach more people. Tina says she created her show for people who don’t have the money to attend seminars or expensive summer retreats but want access to the knowledge and inspiration to change their lives.
Tina believes in life we are doing a lot of things backward. More often than not, people go after a career that pays well and is reliable, but what should be done first is finding your purpose, what sets you on fire, and the career will fall into place. When we aren’t fulfilled in life we are just existing, rather than thriving.
How does Tina help others find their purpose? She begins by helping people identify their blocks by digging deep. She asks methodical, thoughtful questions to help provoke profound reflection. What would you be doing with your life if money didn’t matter? What are your passions and interests? Tina tells us that as adults we are forced to take responsibility, in many cases, from the moment we graduate high school, causing us to think in terms of our rational mind as opposed to our spirit and what really propels us.
Tina believes a lot of people fall victim to throwing out an idea when they can’t figure out how to get from point A to point B, like she has fallen victim to herself. She works with people by supporting them, walking them through it, and being patient. Through compassion, listening, and guidance, she helps people realize their true interests and passions.
Getting people into the right mindset is essential to help them overcome their obstacles and find their purpose. And if there’s anyone who can do it, it’s Tina Marx.
