The Netherlands, April 14, 2021: Cirex Foundry, a steel development and manufacturing company that creates components for international industries, is leveraging robotization to stay ahead of the competition today.

Working with more than 25 robots on the production floor every single day, Cirex Foundry manages a highly efficient operation 7-days week. As a development partner and producer of high-quality precision castings in steel, produced according to the “lost wax” process, Cirex is able to enhance their reputation and recognition among international customers using the automation and perpetual support of robots.

“Using a completely automated production process, our team is able to satisfy the high standards of quality in the sector concerning product quality, delivery reliability, process stability, and total cost of ownership,” said Mr. Joroen Spoelder, Founder and Owner of Cirex Foundry. “It removes the human error in the process.”

Cirex manages operations over three locations with headquarters in the Netherlands (Almelo) and two other locations in the Czech Republic (Koprivnice). Thanks to their operations, nearly 3 million new passenger cars and 500,000 trucks are built every single year. Additionally, the operation at Almelo creates up to 2 million steel units every single year for car and industrial customers.

“Since our operation can run 7-days per week, we are able to compete in an industry that is otherwise highly competitive,” said Spoelder. “It’s an advantage that can help small to medium-sized operations compete with the big dogs today. That’s something to celebrate. We look forward to what the future of robots has in store for our operation.”

Thanks to their recent adoption and embracing of robotization, Cirex Foundry was nominated for the Koning Willem I Prize.
