Informative and Uplifting
Re: “Trail honoring fallen soldier leads to peace,” Other Views, Brandon Lingle, Sunday:
Brandon, I am a bit late in getting around to writing this email, but I have been taught that it is never too late to say, “Thank you.”
Thank you for your column in Sunday’s paper about the Morningstar Boardwalk. It was informative and truly beautiful, well-written and uplifting.
I look forward to your future contributions to my favorite newspaper.

Why the increase?
Re: “Staff tells council to back CPS rate hike,” Business, Dec. 9:
A rate increase at CPS Energy? Why? What for? To help it recover losses from its mismanagement that added to our February debacle? Well, that is exactly what local politicians would like you to believe.
Politicians are a very clever bunch. Our local crew is no exception. It’s a concept they call plausible deniability. When those at the bottom, think CPS Energy, start getting in trouble for simply following orders, those at the top distance themselves from the fray. Those at the top have benefited financially, which is the most despicable part.
Before you lash out, be sure your justified call for change is properly directed. There is plenty of blame to go around. So, remember, CPS Energy operates at the direction of the city of San Antonio. Local politicians must be included in your outrage.
