About the Investigation

On October 18, 2022, before the market open, Conn's issued a press release announcing that "President and Chief Executive Officer Chandra Holt has stepped down from her position and from the Company's Board effective immediately." The Company further revealed that "[a]s part of the leadership change, and continued macroeconomic and retail uncertainty, Conn's has withdrawn its previous fiscal year 2023 financial guidance."

On this news, Conn's stock opened at $6.30 per share, down $1.81 per share from its close on October 17, 2022.
