For each project, Modus holds an intensive discovery session with the client, to allow all parties to clearly envision the scope of the work, budget constraints, and design priorities. According to Modus, this is the first step of its 5-step process that ensures all goals are achieved with efficient management of resources.
The second step is planning, where Modus creates a preliminary plan that reflects the scope of work, while accounting for budget and design intent. The third step is definition, where Modus refine their plans and develop specifications that will govern the work. Step four is building, where Modus ensures that excellent craftsmanship is executed. The final step, a smooth turnover to the client, concludes the process.
According to Diaz, Modus provides a turn-key service for clients, providing comprehensive services for all stages of the project, including design development, cost evaluation, planning, and management of trade resources, until completion.

We effectively evaluate costs and timeframes to minimize mistakes and delays in construction. “We are a green contractor. In any proposal that we write, we state that we reserve the right to salvage and reuse materials. We seek to minimize waste in all steps of a project – we try our best to recycle any recyclable materials and to donate reusable items to those that need them.”
