Age has no right to be an obstacle for starting a new and bright life. The founder of IMA Lemle Academy, model coach and stylist Veronika Lemle proves it every day, helping adults start a career in the world of beauty - Forbes Mexico asked the businesswoman about it in her big interview.
During the conversation Veronika described her mission - to transform professional modeling into the industry, where not only the hackneyed "90—60—90" is valued, but also skill, charisma, originality. Advocating for fair competition and equal opportunities, she studied at Dior, Chanel and other great brands, created covers for famous fashion magazines and organized fashion weeks in Paris, New York and Miami. And now Veronika is passionate about her main project - IMA Lemle Academy.
IMA Lemle modeling agency and educational platform helps a lot of women to see a different self, see the world through the eyes of another self and become a shining example for the people around. The project gives an opportunity to be on the international stage, to be published in such magazines as L'Officiel, Harper's Bazaar, and even to appear on the catwalks of the world. IMA Lemle actively fights against age discrimination and outdated attitudes, according to which a model has to be a young girl with 90—60—90 parameters. Veronika believes that by overcoming the attitudes of ageism, the industry will become much deeper and more multifaceted, and people in a mature age will be able to do what they love without fear of judgment.
After working in the fashion industry for more than 1,000 shoots, Veronika Lemle developed her own mentoring system designed to help a person quickly get accustomed to a new industry. Practical training lasting 3.5 months was created based on the analysis of various types of shooting.
As part of the learning, students master modern modeling techniques for effective and impactful self-presentation. They practice in a variety of areas, such as beauty shoots, commercial shoots, e-commerce shoots, and magazine shoots. Because of the agency - people from all over the world remotely learn the latest trends in professional modeling.
"A woman begins to see herself in a way she's never seen herself before. The way her friends and family haven't seen her. She looks at herself from the pages of magazines. From TV screens or commercials - it gives an indescribable experience.
It is no coincidence that teaching defile and posing is included in the Active Longevity program, as attention, recognition, admiration and desire to be beautiful at 50, 60 and 74 gives energy, and therefore health and a positive worldview" – Nika says.
Acting as a mentor for photographers, stylists and designers and spending all her time in the industry, Veronica was convinced that starting a career in modeling at the age of 35-40 is a good and impressive decision. Taking their first steps in the industry at this age, women bring to the result of their work not only external beauty, but also their unique experience, authenticity and individuality, carved by a unique fate.
