The United States and Asia advocating for environmental protection measures such as the use of recyclable packaging materials can be traced back to as early as the 1970s. Nowadays, environmental protection and sustainable development are what consumers, brands, and society have been committed to. Ecological protection become even more important to Antarctica, the Earth’s only continent without humans. NYO3, a Norwegian high-end dietary supplement brand, has been endorsing the environmental protection concept of "originating from nature and benefiting from nature", improving human health and ecological sustainability, and leading the industry in terms of low-carbon lifestyle, environmental protection, and sustainable development. It recently became a member of AWR’s public welfare project to try to protect this continent and make the Earth green.

AWRthe key international Antarctic conservation organization created by over a hundred of the world’s top scientists

In 2018, the Antarctic Wildlife Research Fund (AWR) was created by international scientific experts in the field of Antarctic research, Antarctica-related companies, and major environmental organizations in the world. They work together to promote research on the Antarctic ecosystem. AWR is a global public welfare organization dedicated to the research, conservation, and sustainable development of Antarctic wildlife and krill ecosystems. It provides Antarctic biological resources and ecosystems with management, analytical assessment, and conservation using biology, ecology, frontier science, and detection. As a key representative of the international Antarctic environmental protection, AWR is known for its stringent membership selection criteria and strict environmental protection measures. To date, only a dozen well-known international companies/brands, including Aker BioMarine, a global leader in the krill industry, and NYO3, a high-end Norwegian dietary supplement brand, have been approved to join AWR.

Through the collaboration among scientists, enterprises, and brands, AWR keeps investigating the role of unique Antarctic species, such as krill, in the Antarctic ecosystem, to enhance the protection of the Antarctic ecosystem. According to Mark Epstein, Chairman of AWR, AWR is vital in helping us learn more about the Antarctic marine life and contributing to protecting the Antarctic ecosystem more scientifically and comprehensively. Besides, NYO3 promises that it will always use recyclable package materials, and that all of its products are made from raw materials transported from Antarctica, to minimize by-catch and protect the Antarctic krill habitat, making it a model brand for protecting the Antarctic ecology and fulfilling social responsibility.

The brand concept of "FROM NORWAY PURE AND SIMPLE" is always at the heart of what NYO3 does. It follows the path to sustainable development, uses natural ingredients and recyclable packaging materials, and makes pure Antarctic krill oil and other nutrition with modern technology to promote the healthy Nordic lifestyle. NYO3 promises that all products are high-quality and traceable. It complies with strict fishing quotas to ensure the sustainable development of the Antarctic ecosystem. In addition, NYO3 strategic partner Aker BioMarine is the first krill fishery enterprise in the world to be MSC certified by the Marine Stewardship Council, indicating that NYO3 krill oil is an environmentally friendly product centered around marine ecological sustainability, which does not impact Antarctic ecology. On May 15, NYO3 officially joined AWR’s public welfare project at the Global Brand Celebration of NYO3, to work in tandem with Aker BioMarine to protect the Antarctic ecosystem.

The AWR’s public welfare project of protecting Antarctica that NYO3 joined has been officially launched. It will be officially announced in the near future. At that time, when consumers purchase NYO3 krill oil products in the international dietary supplement market, NYO3 will donate an appropriate amount of money to AWR, then the fund will be used for the scientific research and protection of Antarctic krill and other Antarctic wildlife. So consumers buying NYO3 krill oil can improve their cardiovascular health and make their contribution to the Antarctic ecosystem. Besides, consumers’ support will also inspire more international enterprises to be a part of the protection of Antarctic wildlife and the Antarctic ecosystem to jointly promote sustainable development.

Being a member of the AWR’s public welfare project and working in tandem with Aker BioMarine to protect Antarctica is another milestone on the path to the eco-sustainable development of NYO3. NYO3 will continue to work hard to provide consumers and society with natural, safe, professional, effective, green, and sustainable marine krill oil and other high-end dietary supplement products, as well as solutions, in a bid to create a more comprehensive and high-quality nutritional and healthy life for them.
