Little Trouble, an online clothing store, has reached a critical milestone in selling over 26,000 garments and generating $760,000 in revenue since launching in May of 2022.
Little Trouble, which was founded by Dinah Chapman, sells cool, unique and comfortable clothing for kids, with matching outfit options for parents/adults. The childrens clothes are designed to be comfortable yet durable to match the lifestyle of the average kid. Messy, full of wonder and always exploring. Chapman, who holds a degree in fashion marketing, designed the clothing to appeal to children and adults alike via the fun colors, playful yet meaningful messaging and cool graphics that won’t be found on the racks of traditional retailers.
Since launching Little Trouble, Chapman has received a high amount of praise and hundreds of 5-star reviews from her customers. By custom fabricating the t-shirts and sweatshirts with organic cotton and bamboo, the brand offers ultra comfy clothing and caters to the needs of all children, even those with sensitive skin and conditions such as eczema and autism. Many parents even say their kids wear Little Trouble to sleep and never want to take it off.
Chapman wants to continue scaling Little Trouble and be the first and obvious choice for adults looking for unique, high quality clothing for their kids or as gifts. Little Trouble will continue making clothing with a purpose, which is to spread joy and happiness through design while capturing the essence of childhood.
In the future, Chapman wants to launch a nonprofit organization in partnership with Little Trouble that provides clothing and other essential products to underprivileged children throughout the United States amplifying the company's mission of celebrating kids for being kids, supporting a playful childhood and delivering smiles to children and parents alike.
Little Trouble was founded during the Covid19 Pandemic while Chapman was pregnant with her first son. The shift in traditional retail and the lack of options for cool boy clothes pushed her to follow her dream of starting her own fashion and clothing company, proving not only to herself but to others that being a working mother doesn’t have to stop us from pursuing and accomplishing big dreams or ideas. With 10 years of digital marketing experience scaling 7 to 8-figure direct to consumer brands, she developed and launched the concept with the help of her husband and connections she has made over years.
“The vision was and still is to make parents and children smile when they see my clothes. I want to capture the wild, fun and fleeting moments of childhood through designs and clothing that can be worn and loved everyday. This season of life flies by and the little moments really matter.”
