The platform is meant to be used for individuals and businesses who don’t have the budget to hire a team of experts to come on-site and install an audio visual system. Now they have the ability to connect with Event Tech AV via online video where they will be guided through the entire process of setting up the system. Bruce Gilson, Owner, and Managing Director of Event Tech AV, says the new app was developed as an educational resource and aims to address the needs of smaller businesses who can’t afford the large budgets often associated with installing a new audio, visual and lighting system.
“After doing this for over 15 years the team and I started to notice we were getting clients who needed a system installed but were unable to afford to bring us to the location. They could afford all the equipment but the cost to get us there was an expense they couldn’t take on,” says Gilson. “We developed the app to give those businesses and individuals the opportunity to still work with us and get the systems installed at the same time.”

When clients begin working with Event Tech AV the company will ensure they learn how to properly install , maintain, and use the system whenever they need. The app has already gained the attention of a large entertainment hardware retailer, which has enabled Event Tech AV to enter into a strategic partnership that has rolled out the service through branches nationwide. In the partnership, the retailer will inform customers of Event Tech AV’s services when they purchase an audio and lighting system and will put them in contact with the company if they need assistance with the installation process.
“My heart goes out to small business owners that get burdened with unreliable audio visual systems when they have so many other problems to deal with. I went the route of remote expertise so that we could eliminate the issues of budget and distance in helping businesses,” says Gilson. “Having just launched the platform, we’re excited to see the service continue to innovate and ‘go big by going small’”
