Franklin Homeschool Services is announcing the launch of their My Portfolio Page which has been developed to enable families to create their children’s entire homeschooling portfolio online.
My Portfolio Page comes with a multitude of services which include storing samples of completed course work, attendance logs, transcripts, course descriptions, and report cards, all of which are intended to be an all-encompassing tech tool for parents who are homeschooling their children. The launch of My Portfolio Page is a part of Franklin Homeschool Services, which according to Founder Enid Franklin was created to help families transition from traditional schools to home schools.
Franklin founded the My Portfolio Page following her work as an administrator for a homeschooling agency where she would conduct reviews of homeschooling families. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Franklin’s work transitioned from meeting with families in person to virtual. During this time she would conduct her reviews of the work children in homeschool would be doing through a multitude of online documents and presentations sent to her.
Seeing there was a need for a more efficient system to conduct the reviews in her job as well as a need for parents to have access to a simple way to present all the necessary documentation of their children’s progress while being homeschooled, Franklin developed My Portfolio Page. Franklin says the My Portfolio Page makes it easier for parents to adhere to state regulations regarding homeschooling and since its recent launch has received positive praise.
“Every state has different laws regarding how parents can homeschool their children and sometimes it can be challenging to navigate the process,” says Franklin. “We have created the platform so that parents can work directly with us and easily organize all their documents in one place and present them to any necessary authority.”
Franklin is still planning to add more additional tools for parents on the My Portfolio Page including adding online classes through the website. Franklin says she hopes to see Franklin Homeschool Services and the My Portfolio Page become a leading homeschool service in the country.
“I would love to help as many families as possible and homeschooling is a great way to learn in an individualized setting where they can focus on what is the best curriculum for their education,” says Franklin. “I would love to see Franklin Homeschool Services become a leader in assisting homeschooling families throughout the country.”
