Gotta Have Rock and Roll, a premier online auction house specializing in music, pop culture and sports memorabilia, is currently holding its Rock & Roll Pop Culture Auction. It features more than 1200 items, including memorabilia from The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and The Rolling Stones. Some highlights include The Beatles signed artwork of “Peace to Monterey '' with “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club'' handwritten lyrics, which is estimated to be worth $2 Million. An Elvis Presley Stage Played 1974 Martin D28 Acoustic Guitar is also featured. The auction also includes various signed and played guitars from artists such as Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Eddie Van Halen, and many more.

To ensure the authenticity of the items going up for auction, Gotta Have Rock and Roll verifies them with several trusted companies specializing in the field, such as JSA, Frank Caiazzo, Roger Epperson, RGU, and PSA/DNA.

Founded in 2008, Gotta Have Rock And Roll has sold some of the most influential artifacts in music history. These include Elvis Presley’s owned and stage-played 1942 Martin D-18 Sun Sessions Guitar – also known as the guitar that started Rock and Roll – for $1.32 million, as well as the piano on which John Lennon composed Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, which went for $725,000.

In addition to running online auctions, Gotta Have Rock and Roll has helped source rock & roll memorabilia for top auction houses such as Sotheby’s. In 2023, it sourced several items for Sotheby’s rock and roll auction, including Eddie Van Halen's Hot for Teacher guitar, which sold for $3.9 million.

According to Dylan Kosinski, the president of Gotta Have Rock and Roll, the huge market for music memorabilia is fueled by the positive memories and emotions that possessing these artifacts generates. Despite some bidders looking at them as investments, the majority attach sentimental value to the items.

The auction features two sessions, session 1 (lots 1-250) will enter extended bidding on April 12th at 9:00 PM EST and session 2 (lots 251-1207) will enter extended bidding on April 13th at 9:00 PM EST.
