South Africa, Nov 6, 2024; The Bohoho, a redevelopment project in Camps Bay, Cape Town, opens access to travelers and production studios seeking the megatrend of content creator spaces.
German gastronomer and interior designer Daniela Gottschalk of Tinzeltown is offering a landmark project for the trend of energetic, expressive interiors and project developments that function as entertainment, hospitality or co-working spaces. With The Bohoho, Tinzeltown has transformed a 3-bedroom home in the heart of Camps Bay, with its saturated sunsets, front ocean and back mountain views, into a larger than life space now available as a boutique resort.
With The Bohoho, Gottschalk defines the new development era of content creator spaces with a leitmotif that brings Palm Springs of the '60s into the present. While The Bohoho has its own alleyway entrance to feel like you are entering a finca, the interior is nothing short of a day club, with curved arches, varying shades of Cerulean blue and lime green, graphic black and white patterns, and accents of mailbox red and metallic splashes.
Content creator spaces feature eclectic and eccentric interior design and are expected to make their way into the mainstream in the trend world of 2025. As Gottschalk describes it: "It's all about giving people the freedom to express themselves and thus boost creativity in a place of escapism, or creating an intimate stage that screams an invitation to broadcast yourself." What can be seen as the evolution of Instagrammable backgrounds, dopamine decor and Old Hollywood design features now gets a whole new category of project development.
Tinzeltown, the project development and interior design firm, describes itself as "a tribute to an era of design long before kitchenettes and pull-out sofas," with a focus on expansion - whether in color, materials or plain overall leitmotif. The latest project, The Bohoho, exudes glamorous audacity and the unapologetic grand entrance of a glam rock pop art star. Interior design highlights include extensive use of Jonathan Adler lips, also found as a painting in the curved pool, opulent blue and black marble tiles, and yellow and white striped patio umbrellas.
In Germany, Gottschalk is also known as a restaurant and bar owner, including Theplacetobe Bar in Frankfurt since 2003, where she is also responsible for the interior design. With the long-lasting popularity of her own project developments in Germany and beyond, Gottschalk testifies to the longevity of the design purposes.
