Recently, China Railway 20th Bureau won the bid for the construction of the second batch of the Hongtian Photovoltaic Power Station project in the Honghe “Wind-Solar Storage” Integrated Base in Yunnan Province. The total land area for the project is approximately 7,200 acres, with a rated capacity of 340 megawatts. Once completed, the project will effectively enhance the utilization value of barren land in Jianshui County, increase the income of local farmers, optimize the energy structure in Honghe Prefecture, and promote the development of related industries in the region.
In recent years, Honghe Prefecture has vigorously developed the “sunshine industry,” making full use of the revenues from village-level photovoltaic concentrated power stations. The government has also scientifically and reasonably set up public welfare positions funded by photovoltaic revenues, ensuring that the profits from the “sunshine industry” continuously flow into the pockets of the people. This has effectively promoted stable income increases for poverty-stricken communities, strengthened village collective economies, and supported rural revitalization.
Moving forward, the photovoltaic power station projects will be integrated with rural governance, cultural inheritance, and other aspects. The region will explore new development models such as “Photovoltaics + Smart Agriculture” and “Photovoltaics + Cultural Tourism,” pushing forward comprehensive rural revitalization and achieving coordinated development in the economy, society, culture, and ecology.
