Concordia Shanghai Students Earn Spot at VEX World Championship in Dallas

Concordia wins ACAMIS VEX Championship, earning a spot at Worlds in Dallas with teamwork, perseverance, and innovation.

This year’s ACAMIS China International School National Championshipheld in Guangzhou was a triumph for Concordia, as the students emergedvictorious at the competitions. All five of Concordia’s VEX V5 teamsadvanced to the elimination rounds, culminating in incredible wins:Tournament Champion, Third Place, and a Judges Award! Thechampionship-winning team has now earned a coveted spot at the VEXWorld Championship in Dallas, Texas.

From the very start, Concordia teams’ dedication was undeniable—studentspoured in countless hours preparing, often staying until the venue closedeach night. One of the most unforgettable moments was an intensequarterfinals match between two Concordia teams, a showdown that wasboth exhilarating and bittersweet.

Through every challenge, Concordia teams showed incredible unity andresilience. Team The Egoists earned an impressive 3rd place, while TeamTri-Rico was recognized with the Judges Award for their outstandingcollaboration and innovation. The ultimate highlight? Team Top Gear andtheir alliance clinching the championship in a gripping best-of-threefinale!

It’s worth mentioning here that throughout the season, Team Top Gearearned two Excellence Awards, secured two first-place tournament wins,captured both the Build Award and Think Award, and consistently rankedamong the top skills performers. For those unfamiliar, the ExcellenceAward is the highest honor in VEX competitions, recognizing outstandingperformance in design, engineering, and teamwork.

While we are delighted to celebrate these outstanding results, we remainhumbled by the dedication, curiosity, and sportsmanship Concordia studentsdisplayed throughout the season. Many of the team members are highschool seniors who have nurtured their STEM talents and team camaraderiethroughout their time at Concordia.

From days and nights spent perfecting code to building and testing robotsunder tight deadlines, they have demonstrated the values of perseverance,humility, and innovation—embodying the heart of the Concordia spirit.Junior students will be leading the way to another bright year!
