KruzCup, an independent design company, is officially launching its flagship product, an adjustable cup holder insert, after years of design work and testing. Made from durable thermoplastic and engineered with flexibility in mind, KruzCup is designed to fit most of the cup holders found in cars, trucks, boats, and even golf carts.
The idea for the KruzCup came from long hours spent driving. Charles Kritter, an engineer with a background in three-dimensional modeling, often found that factory cup holders didn’t fit the wide variety of bottles, cans, and tumblers people use every day. Some were too small, others too loose, and many left drivers worrying about spills or scratched interiors. The persistent problem motivated him to find a solution. From there, the concept slowly took shape. Several prototypes were tested, polished, and reworked until the final design was ready.
He established the company KruzCup in 2017, with sales beginning the following year. The company relies on organic e-commerce conversions to reach customers across the United States. “This brings something that was created offline, and allows us to leverage algorithms and e-commerce tools to let the product exist within that online ecosystem,” says Charles Kritter, Founder and Inventor of the KruzCup.
The KruzCup is built with a rigid body made from thermoplastic materials. Unlike ordinary cup-holders, it is stable enough to handle a wide range of container sizes, from slim cans to oversized tumblers. Besides functionality, the universal design also protects the car’s original interior. Hot drinks, cold cans, and heavy bottles can be placed inside the KruzCup instead of directly touching the factory cup holder. It reduces scratches and long-term damage.
One of the details that sets the KruzCup apart is that it was designed completely in-house. All parts were purpose-built. The company spent years experimenting with different shapes and finishes before landing on a version that worked across a wide range of vehicles. Their attention to detail has produced a product that is both practical and reliable. Today, the KruzCup is available in different colors and variations, giving drivers the ability to choose one that fits their style and their vehicle.
The Kruz Cup is more than a cup holder insert; it also includes a built-in phone holder. The design gives drivers a convenient way to keep their smartphones upright and within reach. For extra stability, the product also includes a Grip Pad, a non-slip surface that helps keep personal belongings steady on the road.
While the cup holder insert is the centerpiece of the KruzCup, the company is already working on new ideas. The next product in development is a double-walled stainless-steel tumbler with a lid, created to pair perfectly with almost every cup holder in the vehicle. Similar to the Kruz Cup, the tumbler is being designed from scratch to balance durability with everyday convenience.
“Our goal is to keep building products that make driving and traveling easier,” says Kritter. Besides expanding the product line, KruzCup also wishes to explore new opportunities through collaborations and customer-driven innovation in the future.
As KruzCup expands its product line, the company plans to keep its focus on thoughtful designs and simple solutions. By combining practical design with durable materials, the brand aims to continue expanding its community of customers who value products that actually solve real-world problems.
