Starwatchbyline announces the launch of its new podcast, Starwatch Orbit, preparing to expand its footprint in entertainment media, coming early 2026. The series marks a significant evolution for the brand, bringing its long-established commitment to faith-based and family-focused entertainment into a format designed to spark deeper, more meaningful conversations across the industry.

Launched in 2021, Starwatchbyline, founded by Trisha Kalstein, has established a social media presence offering consistent coverage of entertainment networks and streaming platforms that champion family-friendly programs. The company’s social channels share behind-the-scenes insights, casting opportunities, educational resources, and weekly content summaries that help viewers navigate the entertainment landscape. “There’s so much out there, especially around the holidays,” Kalstein says. “We try to make it easier by summarizing what’s coming out, who’s in it, and where to watch it, so families aren’t overwhelmed by choice.”

Starwatch Orbit will build on this foundation while moving beyond promotional cycles and choosing instead to spotlight voices that aren’t often heard. Conversations will feature not only actors and directors, but also professionals such as programmers, network personnel, and public relations teams. According to Kalstein, these are the individuals whose work shapes the industry but who rarely sit in the interview chair. “People have never heard what it’s like to be a programmer for a major network,” she notes. “How do they schedule an entire year of shows and movies? What does that job even look like? Those are the perspectives we want to highlight.”

Faith will also play an important role in the series, particularly among performers whose careers and personal convictions often converge in meaningful ways. “There’s a whole community of faith-oriented people in the industry; we want to give them a platform to embrace that,” she says.

While guests will still discuss their projects, Kalstein emphasizes that the focus will shift toward creative processes and values that guide their choices. This approach, she notes, can encourage open, unscripted dialogue that will give the audience a richer sense of who these individuals are and how they navigate their careers. The podcast will also address challenging topics within the industry, including areas where processes could be more transparent or supportive.

As the host of Starwatch Orbit, Kalstein brings a distinct perspective shaped by an uncommon career path. Before working in entertainment, she spent over 21 years as a senior scientist in a think tank. Even then, she highlights that her work involved collaborative, creative problem-solving that fostered her interest in storytelling.

She later co-founded a company with her husband that produced trailers for independent filmmakers, an experience that gave her firsthand insight into the mechanics of the film industry. Today, she channels that background into Starwatchbyline.

As Starwatch Orbit moves toward launch, Starwatchbyline welcomes opportunities to collaborate with like-minded sponsors and investors who share its commitment to uplifting and informative entertainment. The organization is also continuously exploring ways to expand its team and bring in fresh perspectives. Kalstein believes that diverse voices enrich every conversation, and having additional co-hosts in the future would help take the project to new heights.

With a goal to foster conversations that matter, Starwatch Orbit aims to offer a refreshing alternative in the entertainment media space, giving listeners a window into the people, decisions, and faith-based convictions that shape the stories they love.
