According to the company, standard Greenville County septic pumping currently starts at $450 for a 1,000-gallon tank, with 1,250- and 1,500-gallon tanks priced at $575 and 2,000-gallon tanks priced at $850. Prices may vary when systems involve buried tanks, no risers, two-tank setups, emergency scheduling, or difficult access due to fencing, landscaping, or HOA requirements.
“Homeowners usually aren’t just asking for a number,” said John Rusev, owner of Rock Solid Septic ~ Excavation. “They want to know why one contractor says one price, another says something completely different, and what they’re actually getting for that money.”
The new guide uses a recent Greenville project on Laurelton Place as a real-world example. The homeowner had already paid another contractor six months earlier, but the system began backing up again. The company’s standard Greenville County pump-out includes locating the tank access point, opening both lids, pumping both compartments fully dry, checking operating levels before pumping, inspecting the tank interior, hauling waste to a licensed disposal facility, replacing lids, and reporting findings directly to the homeowner.
The guide also explains how Greenville County properties often differ from older, more rural Spartanburg County systems. Many Greenville-area homes are located in planned communities or HOA neighborhoods, with finished yards, privacy fencing, irrigation systems, retaining walls, and landscaping that can affect tank access and service time. “Access matters,” John said. “A tank with a riser in an open yard is not the same job as a buried tank behind fencing, landscaping, or hardscaping.”
