OHMS Marine is a marine electrical service company founded in 2026 by Tripp Vivona, an ABYC-certified marine electrician in Stuart FL with more than 20 years of experience. The company provides electrical repairs, engineering and yacht refit support, drawing on Vivona’s background in building yachts from the ground up.
OHMS Marine provides marine electrical services in Stuart and throughout the Treasure Coast. Its dockside service brings troubleshooting, wiring repairs and equipment installation directly to boats, yachts and luxury vessels at marinas, private docks and boatyards.
The work ranges from finding an intermittent electrical fault to planning the wiring and power distribution for a vessel undergoing a full refit. Battery and charging system upgrades, shore power repairs and marine electronics installations are among the company’s services.
For owners adding equipment or updating an older boat, the installation often starts with understanding the existing system. A larger battery bank or a new inverter, for example, requires consideration of charging capacity, cable sizing and circuit protection. OHMS Marine combines that planning with the electrical work aboard the vessel.
“Building yachts from the ground up gives you an understanding of how the electrical systems need to work together,” said Tripp Vivona, owner of OHMS Marine. “I bring that experience to every job, whether it’s tracing a wiring fault at the dock or planning the electrical work for a refit. The wiring should be organized, the installation should meet ABYC standards, and the next person servicing the boat should be able to understand what was done.”
OHMS Marine provides marine electrical engineering for new vessel builds and yacht refits. That work includes electrical load calculations, power distribution design and wiring diagrams that document how the system is installed.
For larger projects, OHMS Marine provides dedicated project management that includes technical oversight and coordination with builders and other contractors. Electrical system evaluations help owners identify existing deficiencies and determine the scope of repairs before a refit begins.
