Saratoga Hospital has once again been recognized for its commitment to delivering high-quality stroke care earning the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association’s 2025 Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke GOLD PLUS with Target: Stroke Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll Award.

This prestigious recognition demonstrates the hospital’s continued success in applying the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient outcomes in the community it serves.

The Get With The Guidelines program helps hospitals ensure patients receive care that follows the latest research, and evidence-based guidelines. Saratoga Hospital earned the award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients, including timely administration of clot-busting medication, thorough patient assessments, rapid imaging, and coordination of care with EMS and higher-level stroke centers when needed.

Hospitals receiving the Target: Stroke Honor Roll distinction meeting quality measures that reduce the time between a patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with clot-busting drug tPA. Additionally, the Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognizes hospitals that provide quality care to patients with type 2 diabetes, which is a major risk factor for stroke.

“This recognition reflects not only the talent and dedication of our clinical teams, but the strength of our systems and protocols that ensure every stroke patient receives timely, effective care,” said President and Saratoga Hospital CEO, Jill VanKuren.
