Liz Brooke has been welcomed to the community of Kidderminster as Manager of The Midcounties Co-operative Pharmacy branch on Linden Avenue.

After working as a self-employed pharmacist for 18 years - regularly based at Linden Avenue - Liz has settled as a full-time colleague, joining the existing five members of the team.

During her short time at Midcounties, Liz has already implemented two additional services. Firstly, weight management, which offers advice on healthy eating and exercise during flexible weekly or fortnightly appointments, and secondly alcohol intervention. This service is available on a drop-in basis for customers to receive guidance on their drinking habits.

Liz, aged 41 from Bewdley, said: “I’m thrilled to have become a permanent part of the team, especially during the International Year of Co-operatives, which celebrates the values I share with the Society. Customers have also been very welcoming, offering their congratulations, which I really appreciate.

“My new role gives me more responsibility, which I’m really enjoying as I have the opportunity to bring my expertise to the pharmacy.”

Julie Sheldon, Midcounties’ Operations Manager, said: “Having known Liz for many years, it’s fantastic to have her on board as a permanent colleague. She still continues to impress us, having thrown herself into the job at hand.

“We’re extremely grateful for her enthusiasm and commitment to not only supporting her team but ensuring we continue to offer a variety of quality and convenient services to the community.”
