True Crime author, Jessie Bleu Gentry has today announced the release of her second thriller in the epic Memento Mori series that has true crime addicts clamoring for more. The new e-book series, launched in January 2013 to rave reviews, features bone chilling stories of Women on Death Row based on actual events. Horror in Highgrove: Murder by Prostitute is the February release in the series (FREE 2/22-2/24).

Jessie Bleu Gentry, true crime author and Victim’s Rights Advocate, has announced today that her second book is ready to release on Amazon this week (FREE 2/22-2/24). Horror in Highgrove: Murder by Prostitute is part of the acclaimed Memento Mori series that premiered in January with By Blood Betrayed: The Corona Christmas Murders. Composed of 21 separate murder cases, each based on actual events, the stories will initially be offered as mini e-books, and will culminate with all 21 stories being offered as a full length book in about a year. Additional books on select cases will also be offered as part of the hair-raising, goose-bump inducing series.

Encompassing the riveting cases of the 21 women currently housed on Death Row at Chowchilla, California, Gentry has fictionalized each of their stories to some degree to protect innocent participants, while taking the primary facts of the case directly from court transcripts. It will not be too difficult for readers to identify the Death Row inmate whose case is being highlighted, yet they will be able to enjoy the in-depth details that fictionalizing also permits.

Gripping details that stun and horrify are the hallmark of this innovative new series that seeks to personalize each case. The object is to allow a reader to know the victims in a way that is often ignored in traditional thrillers. Gentry, a victim’s rights activist as well as an author posits a sympathetic view of each victim to help her reader identify with them and understand what they went through at the hands of ruthless psychopaths and mentally disturbed individuals.

With most of the True Crime genre written through the eyes of the perpetrator it is refreshing and enlightening to have an opportunity to see a victim’s point of view. The series has already begun to garner rave reviews and future books (true crime) are anxiously anticipated. California has some of the most infamous crimes in the nation in its long history of jurisprudence, a number of which have been the subject of mainstream films.

The Memento Mori Series will give the reader an opportunity to read through the main facts of the story quickly and easily without taking the time of a traditional length book. Available now on Kindle (true crime), this is one of the most horrifying couple of hours readers will experience any time soon.
