Gina Harlow-Mote, media director for The Barber Shop Marketing, has been named, for the second time, Agency Management - Media Director of the Year 2015 by the Dallas Area Alliance for Women in Media’s 33rd annual Awards of Excellence Gala, held April 7, at the Dallas Hyatt Regency. The awards recognize top Dallas-Fort Worth media professionals.

“To receive this honor not once, but twice, in my career is humbling. I am honored to be recognized by my peers with this year’s award. However, I consider it more of a recognition of my team as opposed to myself,” Harlow-Mote insisted. “I’m blessed to work with an amazing group of individuals who inspire me each and every day.”

In the Agency Management - Media Director category, five worthy individuals were nominated. Gina Harlow-Mote – The Barber Shop Marketing, Jeff Kempf – TM Advertising, Melissa Wolf – Southwest Media Group, Sarah Franks – The Richards Group, and Stephanie Wavro – Asher Media.

This is Harlow’s fifth Alliance for Women in Media Award. Her first was National Radio Sales Person of the Year for 1996. She was Agency National/Regional Buyer of the Year for both 1998 and 1999 and was honored more recently as Media Director/Vice President/Supervisor of the Year for 2012. In 2015, The Barber Shop Marketing was named Agency of the Year.

In 2009, Harlow-Mote joined The Barber Shop Marketing as media director. She is a graduate of Texas A & M University and is active in philanthropic industry-related organizations as well as an active participant in her children’s activities. Harlow-Mote served as the 33rd Awards of Excellence Gala co-chair and has served on the Dallas Area Alliance for Women board of directors for two years. She lives in Coppell with her husband and two boys.
